Leadership Transformation Coach, NEXGEN Graduate Fellowship Programme
Position Summary
Leadership Coach will inspire and mentor youth fellows to develop self-awareness, leadership skills, and cross-sector competencies through personalized coaching and experiential learning.
Job Responsibilities
1. Design & Facilitate Leadership Development Sessions
- Develop and deliver dynamic, engaging, and culturally relevant leadership sessions—both online and offline—aligned with the fellows’ development needs.
- Use experiential learning methods to help fellows understand leadership concepts such as team building, empathy, conflict resolution, inclusive leadership, and community mobilization.
- Adapt content and facilitation style based on group dynamics, learning styles, and feedback.
2. Individual and Group Coaching
- Provide one-on-one coaching to fellows to support their personal and leadership development journeys.
- Facilitate small group coaching circles to create peer support environments that build trust, empathy, and shared learning.
- Guide fellows in setting personal goals, tracking their progress, and celebrating milestones.
3. Fellow Reflection & Goal-Setting Support
- Encourage self-reflection and critical thinking through structured tools, journaling, and guided dialogue.
- Support fellows in creating action plans and leadership projects that align with their values and community priorities.
- Monitor fellows’ development through regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and growth assessments.
4. Documentation of Transformational Stories
- Collect, document, and analyze stories of change, challenges, and breakthroughs experienced by fellows during the program.
- Contribute to case studies and impact reports by highlighting fellow journeys, achievements, and lessons learned.
- Ensure ethical storytelling practices, with consent and dignity maintained at all times.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
- Maintain meaningful and consistent engagement with fellows throughout the program lifecycle.
- Liaise with partners, mentors, and community leaders to identify growth opportunities and ensure alignment with program goals.
- Represent the program at events and contribute to building a supportive ecosystem for youth leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Science, Development Studies, Social Work, Education, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, or youth leadership facilitation.
- Experience with virtual coaching platforms and digital tools is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- High emotional intelligence and active listening skills.
- Facilitation skills with a focus on experiential and personalized learning.
- Ability to adapt coaching approaches to diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foster inclusive and respectful dialogue.
