Position Summary

The Digital Campaign Coordinator will lead the creation and execution of digital campaigns to promote civic education and engagement, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role involves developing content for social media and digital platforms, monitoring campaign performance, and providing regular updates. The coordinator will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to amplify the project’s message and engage the target audience effectively. As part of a broader effort to reach youth, the Digital Campaign Coordinator will focus on building awareness around rights, responsibilities, and youth leadership in civic processes.

Job Responsibilities

Campaign Development:

  • Design and implement digital campaigns across various platforms, including social media, websites, and other online channels.
  • Ensure that digital campaigns are strategically aligned with organisational goals and brand guidelines, especially focusing on youth.

Content Creation:

  • Develop engaging and creative content (videos, graphics, blog posts) tailored to diverse audience segments.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure content quality, creativity, and consistency with the campaign’s message.

Social Media Management:

  • Coordinate content creation (including copywriting, visuals, videos, and reels) in collaboration with designers, videographers, and editors.
  • Manage campaign calendars, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely rollout of campaigns and materials.
  • Oversee and manage the project’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), maintaining a strong and engaging online presence.
  • Regularly update and manage content across platforms to ensure consistent messaging and engagement with followers.
  • Coordinate with media agencies, influencers, and internal teams to boost digital reach and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on digital trends, platform algorithm changes, and best practices to continuously optimize campaigns.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor digital performance metrics and engagement data, preparing post-campaign reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Track campaign performance using digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and other relevant platforms.
  • Analyze campaign metrics and prepare regular performance reports for internal teams and donors, offering actionable insights to optimize future campaigns.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the communications team, project staff, stakeholders, and external influencers to amplify the campaign’s reach and engagement.
  • Coordinate with local partners and influencers to expand the campaign’s visibility and impact, ensuring effective messaging.

Community Engagement:

  • Actively engage with the community on social media platforms by responding to queries, comments, and feedback, creating a participatory environment.
  • Foster a dialogue around the campaign themes, encouraging users to engage with content and share their experiences.

Safeguarding:

  • Uphold and promote the organization’s safeguarding policies to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults engaged in our activities.
  • Immediately report any concerns, suspicions, or incidents of safeguarding breaches in line with the organization’s reporting procedures.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and conduct that fosters a safe and respectful environment for all beneficiaries, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Qualification

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related fields.

Experience: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing or campaign coordination with a focus on civic engagement or social causes.
  • Experience of working and leading in multiple successful nationwide digital campaigns

Skills and other competencies:

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
  • Strong writing and content creation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data from campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Experience in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
  • Creative and innovative thinking in campaign development.
